In Iraq a family of 4 in the Khasir Abyad area, about 6 miles north of Mahmoudiya, were found killed. They included Abeer Qassim al-Janabi, who had been raped and shot in the head, her sister and her parents. A neighbor said the Abeer was 14 years old and her sister 10. In June up to 5 US soldiers of the 502nd Infantry Regiment were placed under investigation for the murders. On June 3 federal prosecutors charged former Army Pfc.
