Edgar Ray Killen (b.1925) was arrested in Philadelphia, Miss., as a suspect in the 1964 abduction and killing of 3 voter-registration volunteers. He was found guilty on June 21, 2005, the 41st anniversary of the murders, along with Cecil Price (deputy sheriff of Neshoba at the time), of three counts of manslaughter and gathering the group of men who hunted down and killed two Jewish New Yorkers: Andrew Goodman (20) and Michael Schwerner (24), and one black Mississippian, James Chaney (21).
