The billionaire helped rebuild his country after decades of war but resigned as PM last fall after a sharp dispute with Syria. 22 other people were killed and 100 wounded in a blast that devastated the front of the famous St. George Hotel. An Islamist group calling itself the Victory and Jihad Organization in the Levant claimed responsibility.
